Does your VW Camper or VW Beetle have sloppy gears? Do you have trouble changing gears?

Read on, this maybe a solution to your problems.

A Quickshift kit.

The above is a very very simple bit of kit. And a fairly easy DIY Job. Its simply fits under the gearstick.

First off place into 2nd gear.

Remove the 2 fixing bolts holding down the gearstick.

Place the new quickshift plate over the holes and the round ball part under the original ball of the gearstick then rebolt up using the 2 longer bolts supplied.

Now it may take a few minutes of slight undoing and retightening of the bolts to make sure all 4 gears at there but the end result will be superb. The actual gear throw (between gears) will be reduced making the gear change alot more precise.
